Does this stone in my hand contain more than just sand?
Is there substance to make water move?
I’ve tried it before, but the rock hit the shore.
Now I’m questioning my field of view.
These waves seem like they’re too big to break.
Do I contain the strength it’ll take?
I’ve got it, I know it.
I grip it, then throw it.
But the impact just won’t seem to grow.
But dammit, I need this.
It’s worth it, I feel it.
I feel that there’s weight in my stone.
These waves seem like they’re too big to break.
How far can one ripple go?
Can I know?
This world filled with brutality sparks an anger that empowers me.
But can my efforts really change a thing?
I’ll never know it
Unless I try.
I’ll keep on throwing my stone,
And trust its impact with the tide.
Actions I need to make,
The kind that help things change,
Do they have a chance?
Maybe from far away a ripple might be seen.
Pain is sure to remain when we don’t choose movement.
If I suppress
What’s in my chest
I can’t expect
This cold world to improve.
So I won’t suppress
What’s got me pissed.
I’ll push regardless.
If not me, then who?
I choose to make water move!
These ripples I make,
I’ll never know where they go.

A friend with a reliably fine musical taste posted this album on FB and I wasn't disappointed. Love the guitar sound and the passionate vocals (melodic enough to not pass as screamo or whatever). Punk rock spirit yet with a lot of dynamics (definitely a yes to the Dischord reference) and compact songs that won't leave your head for a long time. Many many
great tunes on here but for the moment USMA and Lay Low have to be my favorites! Great band, very happy to have found them! perpendikel
Knockout debut from a Buffalo, New York-based hardcore band who like their riffs sick, their drums fast, and their choruses sticky-sweet. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 28, 2024
