What makes us human?
Is it the gift to choose?
Then why choose damage the ways we do?
Then why still hatred?
Then why still kill?
Is to be human to crave power’s thrill?
Can we be cured then,
Of abuse of power?
Relief from allure, can it be now?
Please, can it be now?
Power, what is it for?
Why disregard
And why give hate
To those with whom
We can’t relate?
Why do we ravage?
Why clutch conceit?
Why do we harm
In the words we speak?
Why close our eyes?
Why turn our head
When shameful systems
Leave humans dead?
Is comfort worth it?
What drives our lust to feel above another?
Is dominion the source of esteem?
Why do we let pride undermine human kindness
And devolve us from kin to machines?
Do we think to compete is to live?
Does power demand that we take more than give?
When once shed of the addiction to power
Can we still be called human beings?
What kind of creature begins to exist?
What species are we without greed?
Do we think to compete is to live?
Does power demand that we take more than give?
Power, what is it for?
What is it for? (x3)
When a little power’s gained,
Do we ask what motivates the need for more?
What for?

A friend with a reliably fine musical taste posted this album on FB and I wasn't disappointed. Love the guitar sound and the passionate vocals (melodic enough to not pass as screamo or whatever). Punk rock spirit yet with a lot of dynamics (definitely a yes to the Dischord reference) and compact songs that won't leave your head for a long time. Many many
great tunes on here but for the moment USMA and Lay Low have to be my favorites! Great band, very happy to have found them! perpendikel
Knockout debut from a Buffalo, New York-based hardcore band who like their riffs sick, their drums fast, and their choruses sticky-sweet. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 28, 2024
